Garage doors are not only electronic based, they have a fail safe lock, incase the remote has failed, or the power is cut out to the garage door opener, you should have a lock installed and when it does, all you need todo is unlock and pull the lock out which is connected to a wire that releases the door from the automatic opener so you can lift the door manually.
